For this Midterm task, we worked on an activities that integrated all core language skills like vocabulary , grammar reading, writing, listening, and speaking through the theme of daily life . Each task focused on a different aspect of everyday activities. For vocabulary, we explored topics like morning routines and grocery shopping. The listening component featured a passage called A Day in My Life, while the speaking task involved using cooking related vocabulary in both Russian and English. Finally, for reading, we engaged with a content A day at School rhythm
From the very beginning, our collaboration was smooth and productive. We made a conscious effort to communicate clearly, discussing each task thoroughly before starting. We took turns contributing to different parts of the activity for instance, one of us focused on writing the task descriptions, while the other came up with the titles. We brainstormed ideas together, shared suggestions, and always reviewed the final results as a team. We also checked each other’s work carefully, offering advice and correcting mistakes where needed. This teamwork helped us build a final product we were both proud of. Throughout the process, we not only developed our language skills but also improved our technical abilities. Some tasks were quite challenging, especially when trying to manage the digital tools or understand specific vocabulary based on language level. However, instead of giving up, we turned to online resources, which helped us find solutions and boosted our confidence along the way.
In the end, this activity turned out to be a truly rewarding experience. It pushed us out of our comfort zones, encouraged teamwork, and allowed us to learn new things in an engaging way. While it wasn’t always easy, the effort we put in paid off, and we now feel better prepared for similar tasks in the future.
